Unfortunately The Newstead Baptist Basketball club has had to go into recess after 50 years without a break. Over that time the club has been very successful both on and off the court. The club has provided young people and others not so young the opportunity to keep fit playing the game and make some new and lasting friendships as well as hearing God’s word during weekly devotions.
It is hoped that it won’t be too long before the club can rejoin the competition. The Baptist Basketball Association will continue with games every Saturday evening. If you want to play contact the following clubs, City Baptist, Gateway Baptist, Salvation Army and others at Elphin Stadium on a Saturday evening.
